I am a great fan of my grandmother who keeps things simple.She has 4 pairs of clothes & few dishes to cook , very few friends with whom she connects well & a small house to live.She is healthy & sleeps well. Did you get what is she practicing ?

How does Minimalism help us for better health ?

There is an old age saying in our culture that ” We really dont appreciate value of something , When we have more than what we need “, whether it comes to relationships or finances.It means when we dont have enough then we appreciate their value. Isn’t it ?

Do you agree ?

Being minimalist is a bit challenging as we have to be well informed about all the options before taking action. So its a tendency for the adults just to follow the crowd & keep accumulating things whether its clothes , food , money or the information. Thus making Minimalism a conscious & well informed choice.When it comes to health there are lot of things to know What kind of diet to follow? , How to eat ? & many such questions. In the tsumani of information right now , its really hard for someone to really dig deep & understand the basics of health.So we just follow the crowd & do what others are doing , as its an easy choice.

In the present fast paced world , adults easily get confused with interesting new things in the market & get trapped in an unhealthy lifestyle just by getting influenced at the advertisements & their friends.It doesnt happen with children, as they are born with some instincts.

One such example is the habit of sitting on floor and eating.It was habit of Indians to sit and eat on the floor for many generations, which was wiped out almost in one generation when the fancy tables & chairs entered into everyone’s house. The sitting posture, the Sukahasana is better suited for easy digestion & gives early satiety which doesnot happen when we eat on chair , hanging our legs down. There are other benefits also.

Being a minimalist we can focus on few important things of our health like When to eat ? , How to eat & other basics. We can also be aware of our body ,when we have few things to focus on. Our grandparents were much healthier as they were minimalists, having enough time to take care of their health & relationships.

How can we be a Minimalism improve our relationships ?

We are made to believe that too many friends is good through social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter etc. Do you think quality or the quantity of relationships, which matters most ? As per a research humans can only maintain 150-ish friends at a time & that too maximum 5 – 8 close friends.If we really connect to few people , we really donot keep increasing our friend circles.Thus by being a minimalist we can really have deep relationships, which really matter.
